物理的に「～を通して見る」というイメージから、表面的な嘘や隠し事を通り抜けて、その奥にある本質や真実を把握する状態を表します。
使われ方
see through someone's lie
人の嘘を見抜く（相手の言動に隠された欺瞞を暴く際によく使われます。）
see through someone
人の本心を見抜く（相手の態度や言葉に惑わされず、その人の真意を理解する状況です。）
類義語との違い
- look through: こちらは「～に目を通す（書類など）」や「～を透かして見る」という物理的な動作が主です。「見抜く」という心理的な洞察の意味は含みません。
