From: Grace Holland <gholland@maplevalleylibrary.org> To: Thomas Reed <treed@thomasreedbooks.com> Date: July 15 : Invitation to speak at our library Dear Mr. Reed, My name is Grace Holland, and I am in of events at Maple Valley Library. I am writing to ask if you would be willing to give a talk at our library this fall. Your adventure novels are here, and the waiting list to borrow your newest is longer than for any other title. Several teenagers in our reading club have also told me that your stories made them start enjoying books. We are planning to hold the event on a Saturday afternoon in November. Last year, a event with another writer attracted around 80 visitors, so we even more people this time. For this reason, we will use the hall next to the library instead of our usual meeting , which has only 50 seats. We would like the talk to last about one hour, followed by a short question-and-answer . We would pay you a fee for your talk and your travel costs. I understand that you live in Boston, which is about three hours from here by car. If you , we could also a for you at a hotel near the library, so you would not have to drive back on the same day. Please let me know if you are interested, and I will send you more details. , Grace Holland Events Coordinator, Maple Valley Library
